Introducing EDAR
A science-led solution for hair and scalp care
After many years of working closely with my patients and discussing the products they use on their hair and scalp, I’m very pleased to introduce something I’ve been developing behind the scenes – EDAR.
Why I created EDAR?
One of the most common questions my patients ask is which shampoos and conditioners I recommend. The truth is, very few meet the standards I look for – not only for my patients, but for myself as well, particularly when it comes to post-surgical recovery and long-term hair and scalp health. That became the starting point for creating something better.
What is EDAR?
EDAR is a science-led hair and scalp care system, formulated with evidence-based actives. Our new shampoo and conditioner are designed to support scalp balance while helping hair look fuller, stronger and easier to manage. Ideal for both men and women, they can be used to tackle issues like dryness, scale and inflammation, creating the optimal environment for growth while also improving hair health over time.

A Personal Journey
As both a hair restoration surgeon and a transplant patient myself, I have a first-hand understanding of the psychological and physical journey of hair loss. I know that patients need guidance on how to care for their hair and scalp over time. While no shampoo can regrow hair, a well-formulated shampoo and conditioner can certainly help to maintain scalp health and support better outcomes from other treatments.
EDAR originally began as something I developed for my own use. Over the past few years, the formulas were perfected, evolving into a carefully developed range for maintaining healthy hair and scalps.
EDAR is named after the Ectodysplasin A Receptor (EDAR) gene, a biological process involved in the early stages of hair follicle development. This reflects our commitment to supporting hair health at its very foundation.

Piroctone Olamine – a potent antioxidant and antimicrobial to purify and promote a balanced scalp microbiome.
Capixyl® (red clover extract + acetyl tetrapeptide-3) – a powerful peptide complex to strengthen follicles and reduce hair shedding.
Keravis™ Proteins – a vegetable-based protein that penetrates the hair to boost strength and plasticity. It also coats and protects the cuticle for smoother strands.
Caffeine – a widely studied ingredient, shown to influence follicular activity. Included to support the appearance of stronger, more resilient hair.
Antioxidant vitamins – helping to protect the scalp from oxidative stress, an increasingly recognised factor in skin and follicle ageing.
