3589 grafts by FUT

3589 | FUT

Simon travelled to attend a consultation after having an initial video call with David. He had concerns over the hairline receding and thinning over many years and also the crown. During lockdown he had shaved his hair very short, but always wanted to wear it with more length. Dr Ball assessed his scalp during the consultation and found that while the mid bridge showed some very early stages of thinning it was very strong. He has recently started finasteride to slow down more loss. The margins or his crown were very strong, Dr Ball felt it was possible to transplant into the front and crown. FUT was used as he had good laxity and would yield over 3000 grafts. 3589 grafts were used to restore an appropriate hairline and coverage into the crown.

The patient wished to share his journey online so he could help others that were considering a similar surgery. He is delighted with his results and had a 12 month review with David over Zoom as he was unable to travel. He kindly submitted by the photos, as he was unable to come in to the clinic for follow up.

You can follow his video blog from before the surgery to the 12 month stage below.

"Just a big thanks to Dr Ball and his team for everything that they have done as it’s definitely improved my quality of life in many ways"
