Dr Paul Farrant

Consultant Dermatologist

There are many causes of hair loss and hair transplant surgery is often not the most appropriate treatment option. Some patients require specialist medical assessment, investigations and treatment for their particular hair loss. In such situations, Dr Ball recommends his patients seek an opinion from an experienced dermatologist with a special interest in the diagnosis and management of hair loss.

Dr Paul Farrant BSc MBBS FRCPis a UK trained and registered consultant dermatologist. Dr Farrant is a leading UK expert in the diagnosis and management of hair loss, lecturing widely and active in research. He looks after patients at clinics in Brighton& Hove and across Sussex.

Ten years later, in 2009, he was appointed as a consultant dermatologist at The Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals Trust.
